BLS Heart Code Blended Learning

HeartCode® BLS (Basic Life Support) is a blended learning course from the American Heart Association that combines online education with hands-on skills practice. The online portion allows students to complete the cognitive learning at their own pace, covering high-quality CPR, AED use, airway management, and team-based resuscitation for adults, children, and infants.

After completing the online module, students attend an in-person skills session with an AHA Instructor. During this hands-on portion, participants demonstrate CPR and rescue skills, practice real-life scenarios, and complete a skills check-off. Upon successful completion of both components, students receive an official AHA BLS Provider eCard, valid for two years.
